Callum Mackenzie selected for Scotland to play in EuroHockey Championships II
Scotland’s men have announced their squad for the EuroHockey Championships II which will take place in Poland from 11th – 22nd August. The squad features former Telford and Wrekin Hockey Club player Callum Mackenzie who came through the junior ranks at the club before moving to play in the National League.
Mackenzie has experience playing for Cannock in the National Premier League, as well as Cardiff & Met in the National Conferences, and is looking forward to joining Wimbledon for the upcoming season.
Having been selected for the 2021 Great Britain Elite Development Programme Squad this is another great achievement for Mackenzie who will play alongside Alan Forsyth who has plenty of international, and National League experience.
Scotland will face Ukraine, Austria, and Switzerland in their pursuit to achieve promotion back to the top tier of European Hockey after suffering relegation in 2019.
Men’s Club Captain Alan Parham says “The club are immensely proud of Callum and all of his achievements and will follow the Championships will a close eye.”
