Women's 2nd XI Vs Stone 2

This was an early morning start , but nevertheless Telford arrived with all good intentions. They started well dominating the game and creating plenty of opportunities. The deadlock was finally broken after 8 minutes with some great interlinking play starting from  the defence, into the midfield for Rachel Evans to deliver an inch  perfect cross for Logan McKinnon to net a  goal for Telford, taking her tally  to two in two consecutive games. As the half progressed, Telford continued to boss the game and were  deservedly rewarded with another well executed goal from Rachel Evans, who clinically struck the ball from the edge of the ‘d’. Telford sustained their dominance and just before the break Mia Price converted a goalmouth scramble to take the score to 3-0 to Telford. 
After the interval, Telford didn’t quite regain the composure they displayed  in the first half but still managed to create multiple chances but just couldn’t convert! This can also be accredited to Stone’s young keeper, who played out of her skin! Final score Stone 0 - Telford 3.
Telford’s player of the match went to Jen Moffat who did a sterling job in midfield, breaking down play and gaining possession for Telford. Well done. 

Ladies 2s are at home this week, in a top half of the table clash against local rivals Wolves - 11:45 push off.
