After an amazing effort by club volunteers making the pitch playable the game went ahead!
This was a game that Telford knew would be tough against a well organised opposition, who as the season has progressed have got significantly better!
The game was closely contested with both teams having numerous opportunities to score. Eventually the deadlock was finally broken, after a pin point cross from Rachel Evans,which perfectly found Logan McKinnon,who calmly flicked the ball into the goal, putting Telford 1-0 at the interval.
Play resumed after the half time break with both teams penetrating the ‘d’ and creating goal scoring chances. Neither team could convert and the game finished 1-0 to Telford.
Nominated man of the match was Logan McKinnon,who thoroughly deserved it and finally broke her goal scoring drought!
Next week Telford 2s are away at Stone.
