So Shrek and his swamp gang headed on the long long road far far away to nowhere land! Snow White was busy in Ireland so the swamp didn’t have the depth they are used to. The home team scored first and some questionable decisions by the umpires created a smelly atmosphere when they disallowed a short corner goal from Meg Lancaster. The team fought hard and created chances but unfortunately after a calm few words to the umpire chez lane was given a green card quickly upgraded to a yellow! The fairy godmother used her wand to conjure a goal, only for this to be disallowed again due to someone standing on the oppositions stick…..feeling bemused!
This just woke sleeping beauty, ignited the fire in the dragon, and unleashed the calm but solid queen Lillian !! With a long ball fired through a defensive line to chez lane who was determined to rectify her 5 minute absence from the battle! Donkey stopped talking for a second to first time slap the ball into the back of the goal!!! The next few minutes was a pitch fork battle of end to end efforts. With a seconds to go a one on one opportunity went down the swamp and the final whistle blew! Darkness drew in and the team were happy with a point, already looking ahead to their early morning waffles before facing Leicester next week. With Snow White back and some fire in their boots hoping to scoop 3 points in their own swamp!!!
