Match Report | Telford W1s introduced Birmingham Uni 3rd XI to their swamping ground to which the girls knew their pitchforks would have to be at the ready. The opposition came strong with taking early advantage after converting a penalty corner. An unfortunate miss at goal from Chez Lane kept the score line 1-0 to the opposition. Soon after this, Birmingham broke our structure making it 2-0 nil at half time. The second half team talk brought Telford out with fight and with super saves from Charlotte Eyre, Birmingham were unable to capitalise on their chances. The girls kept both a strong defensive and attacking second half, but were unluckily unable to convert their only penalty corner and their attacking chances. The whistle finished the game with a 2 nil defeat. The team know what they need to work on and with a free week next week we will continue to train hard to get back on a winning streak.
