Match Report | The Ladies 1’s hosted Tamworth 1s on Saturday for the first home game of the season. The ladies were on a high after last weekend’s victory and were keen for another! In the second half Telford cranked it up a gear. Emma dived into a reverse hit putting it in the top corner making it 3-0 closely followed by Chez scoring Telford’s 4th goal as she deflected a rocket of a pass from Jess Maddocks in past the keeper. A loose ball from Tamworth’s scramble defence then fell to Lucy Brown at the top of the D who slapped it home scoring her first goal for Telford 5-0 There was no stopping Chez Lane as she received a pass from Hebe Dixon and driving into the D again turning her defender and hitting it into the bottom corner making it 6-0. With some great link up play between Emma and Chez, Chez slotted yet another goal in for Telford scoring her first hattrick of this season. Wow let’s do that again! Lexi Day then used some great skill weaving in-between 3 players and the keeper uncomposed. Ending the game 8-0. What an all-star performance from everyone, Man of the match Emma Thornbury. A farewell to Hebe Dixon who played her last game for us Saturday as she is now off for university. The girls will have to make their waffles early next Saturday morning as we set off far far away to hopefully take three points off Loughborough Town.
