Men's 5th XI Vs Newport 3

If you’ve read the match report of when Telford visited Newport 2nds then you probably know how this report is going to go.

However I think the less said about this match then the more PG it’ll be.

Telford can take positives out of their performance from the game as it’s very difficult when the opposition have a 2 player advantage …

Telford were winning 1-0 after minutes and from that moment the whistle never went their way. John H played a sideways ball right to Aaron who stepped into the D and hit it to the far corner to score a superb goal.

Telford should’ve seen penalty flicks, short corners & the oppo seeing cards but these incidents weren’t “seen” unfortunately.

As mentioned Telford should have their heads held up high from this game, as if it was played at any other pitch then it most definitely would’ve been a win. The temperament of the Telford players were superb and conducted themselves very professionally, which can’t be said for the oppo’s dugout.

Telford look forward to hosting Bloxwich for the final Saturday league game of the season and then Leek on the Sunday to wrap the season up - Two teams who provided excellent hospitality in the reverse fixture (although the Bloxwich game rained non-stop!) & we hope to replicate this.
