Match Report | The Ladies slumped to eighth in the Midlands Feeder West League after suffering their second consecutive defeat, losing 4 – 1 at home to Stone. With a number of key players unavailable it was always going to be a tricky game for the side. Both teams started well, and Stone would have taken an early lead had it not been for a diving goal-line clearance from Telford defender and captain Shirley Hasenauer. They then started to play with more confidence and took the lead through a Sue Hughes strike, only for Stone to equalise before the break. The second half saw the team dominate possession with Lorna Burns and Chez Lane working hard up front. However, the team were once again unable to convert any of their chances, partly due to a number of crucial saves from the Stone goalkeeper. With Telford committing players forward, Stone were able to take advantage and score a couple of goals on the break and one from a short corner. Player of the match was shared between Sue Hughes and Lorna Burns.
