Women's 1st XI Vs Wawick

Despite losing their match at the weekend, the first XI still lie in the top half of the table, just above local rivals Bridgnorth.  They made a strong start to the game against Warwick and dominated early possession but were unable to find the back of the goal.  As the half progressed, They struggled to maintain their dominance, and were hit on the break by Warwick resulting in They being 3 – 0 down at half time.  The team were much more composed in the second half, working to retain possession and create chances to score.  Lorna Burns was first onto the score sheet with a close range strike.  A superb solo goal from Player of the Match Rachael Howells saw the The side pull the score back to 3 – 2.  The side continued to press forwards but were unable to find the equalising goal.
