Match Report | We travelled to Warwick for their first league game of the season and finished with a respectable 2-2 draw. The team failed to settle in the first half, and conceded an early goal. Warwick added a second before half time when they were awarded a controversial penalty stroke. The team came out fighting in the second half and had periods where they dominated the game. The breakthrough came after a drive down the right from Becky Wealthall, the ball eventually being put into the net by Jodie Lane. The equalising goal came from a superb short corner strike by Rachel Howells, who deserved her ‘Player of the match’ award. The squad were Amanda Bailey (Muppet), Shirley Hasenauer, Karen Jackson, Becky Wealthall, Sandra Pattinson, Guayarmina Molyneux, Rachel Howells, Sue Hughes, Rachel Evans, Jodie Lane, Sarah McKaig, Anna Jones. |
