Women's 2nd XI Vs Bridgnorth 1s

This was the first game for the ladies twos and a great opportunity for those selected to showcase what they could do and they didn't disappoint! The game started at quite a pace with some great interlinking passing hockey by both teams. For the first 20 minutes, neither team were able to break the deadlock. But finally it was Bridgnorth who scrambled the first goal in, however this spurred an immediate reaction from Teford, who responded with a fine passing move out of defence by Sue Hughes, into the midfield, with some great dribbling by Rachet Evans, passing to Leanne Wright, who perfectly set up Zoe Catton to level the scores at 1-1. Telford continued to dominate and just before half time they were rewarded with another well finished goal by Zoe Catto, to take the score to 2-1 at the interval.
After the half time break, Telford continued to play good hockey and peppered the Bridgnorth 'D' on numerous occasions gaining many short corners. However, these were not converted and the score remained 2-1 with only a few minutes left. Both teams were tiring and mistakes were creeping in all over the pitch. Unfortunately one of these led to Bridgnorth scoring a gifted opportunity, that was well executed to take the final score to 2-2.
