Match Report

For the first time in many years, two Telford sides faced eachother in a league fixture. The well established 4th team were keen to show the newly formed 5th team who was top of the pecking order, but the early play was fairly even with both teams having opprortunities to take the lead. Alex, in goal for the 5ths pulled off some impressive saves before the 5ths found themselves with the ball in a crowded D with Ash tucking it away past Bradley. The 4ths looked stunned whilst the 5ths celebrated and Will gave a cheeky hand signal to the 4ths' bench as he returned to the half-way line. The 4ths then decided to apply a little more pressure and were rewarded by a goal from Roger before half-time.

The half-time team talk from Bomber made it quite clear to the 4ths that a defeat to the 5ths wouldn't be acceptable.

The 2nd half continued much as the first half, with Abraham, Luke, George and Tyler looking very comfortable in midfield for the 5ths. However, concerted pressure from the 4ths, along with an injury to 5ths goalkeeper - Alex, gave them a couple of opportunities which Roger and Alan snapped up.

A very entertaining game finished in a 3-1 victory to the 4ths, but showed that the 5ths are up and running and ready to take on any one.
