Men's 3rd XI Vs Leek 3

Telford 3s travelled to Leek to play Leek 3s. Leek 3s have had a quality season after deciding to bring down several top players from the Midlands Prem to support the team into promotion. 
We have been the only team to get a win against them when they came to visit us in the first half of the season! 

A  selected 14 man team which went to 13 on Friday and then to 12 on Saturday morning arrived and took on information about Leeks playing style after the captains recent scouting trip, we set on our way to play our game.

Leek played extreamly well with lots of running but it was a Sam Millward 'faux pas' whist in our D that handed them their first goal! 
Leek grabbed another with a well worked short corner. 

Telford grabbed one back afer Ben Stevens linked up with Matt F-Fox on the P spot to slap one in. 

2-1 nearly came 2-2 with Sahib being infront of goal but his mishit reverse could not make the goal before a defender interviened. 

Leek continued their donimence with the Senior players controlling the pitch and the tired legs of Telford were showing. 
Telford lack of urgency to recover the score showed and Leek grabbed 2 more goals. 

Game ended 4-1

The team morale was low at the end as we have been playing very well all season. But on how we played together against such a strong set of players, we should be pleased with our performance against them. 

Telford 3s remain in 2nd place by 1 point with a few clubs hotly chasing us.
