Match Report | Telford ladies 2s kicked of the first game of the season against Bloxwich Ladies 2s with some great hockey and superb teamwork. From the start, Telford dominated and took the lead early on, with well-worked goal finished off by Alexia Day to slot home her first senior league goal. Telford continued to dominate the game and were rewarded with a penalty corner, which was clinically put away by the new Captain Sue Hughes. Telford’s dominance did not give Bloxwich anytime to settle on the ball and the relentless pressure created another penalty corner opportunity, which Sue Hughes took and slotted her second goal in from a clean straight strike. Telford continued to play attacking and patient hockey and just before the interval, Rachel Evans set up Alexia Day to score her second. Telford play Leek next week away a 11:30 start at Leek High School. |
