| Match Report | Telford & Wrekin Womens 1s continued their unbeaten run & made it five wins from five with a battling 3-0 victory over Towcester. A scrappy start saw both teams lose possession with far too much frequency but a back post finish from Lorna Burns after some good build up play by Saffy Pemberton-Jandu calmed the Telford girls down & saw them into half time with a narrow lead. Some positive words at half time from the whole group saw a different team come out second half & allowed Telford to extend their lead thanks to a an excellent Meg Pennell finish after another Saffy drive into the circle. Kathryn Sinclair completed the 3-0 win by nailing a penalty corner past the Towcester keeper. This week Telford travel to Leicester 2s looking to keep up the winning streak. |
